Yeah, It's Been Long.

Oh wow, hi?
*echo*
lol, I'm sure no one missed me.
I mean
c'mon, every time I said I was gonna be hardworking updating my blog,
I fail. Miserably.

X) Anyways, this is just a short post for the sake of it !

On the Raya Holidays,
where I was suppose to start studying for trials,
I ended up being drag by family to go on a vacation.
Gem Island is the place !
But in a more Malay Term, Pulau Gemia.
You can check out their website there on the name.
I personally recommend this small island, it's so relaxing and worth the bucks.

lol, this was written by me.
it was a total candid shot.

ADORABLE, ain't it?!
Shot by my brother.

O: ! Newly hatched baby turtle !
This was 4.30am, after a sleepless night.

These people are awesome.
They stayed up with me through the night.

On the second night, my family went turtle sighting.
And there it was, a turtle mom scouting the beach to dig it's nest.
It had to be dark and silent, turtles won't tolerate human disturbances.
As we waited, this couple from Holland joined us.
Their names are Frans & Dorien. (pronounced Doreen)
I'm very impressed by em.
The boy was an Airplane Simulator Engineer and the girl was a Nurse.
OH WHOAAAA! Guess how tall is he !
He's like 6 Feet 6 and a half inches. That's 1.98m tall.
They stayed up with me through the night up till 5.30 am,
since my family ditched me for bed.
So there I was, with the couple and this dude which is a volunteer for the turtles.
Apparently he stayed up every night during the breeding season
To collect eggs for the hatchery and taking care of em. How awesome is that?
We sat on the beach in the dark, hunted by mosquitoes, in silence and trying not to fall asleep.
LOL the scene was funny.

Finally at 3.30am, the 8th hole which the mama dug was ready
And didn't have rocks at the bottom to harm the eggs.
Thank goodness.
The hole was knee-deep and the mama have only her back flippers to dig em.
What a tough job.
She laid 81 eggs. Congrats !
Later on, when the four of us was carrying the eggs in a bucket back to the hatchery,
There was another newly hatched baby turtles !
We were elated. i mean cmon, who's THAT lucky?!
So we gathered all 37 of them and
released them into the salt water pool
which was specially made to nurse em for 4 months before releasing em to the sea.

That night, was a Miracle.
I hope I get to go back to that island, even if the corals lack of colours. Aha.
One of the BEST vacation, ever.

DICLAIMER :
my colour palette seems to be broken. ugh.
i'll change it to be COLOUFUL once i figure out the prob.
